Coach Garth Lancaster has put together a very talented group of players to don the new colors of the NHLs own Winnipeg Jets in this years Brick Super Novice Tournament. Our team motto is Row the Boat (One Goal One Direction). Our players, coaches and parents wish everyone in this years Brick Tournament the best of luck. This year our entire 17 player roster is composed of players from BCs Interior, Island and Lower Mainland. Since coming together in late March, the team has participated in tournaments in Toronto and have been working hard in preparation including a training camp at the Belfor Training Center, located inside of the new Little Caesars Arena, just before heading to Edmonton for this prestigious event. The players, coaches and parents would like to extend a huge thank you to the BRICK tournament committee and all the volunteers who make this event so wonderful. The Brick is a weeklong event and you play six round-robin games (Mon-Friday) and then there are quarterfinals (Saturday morning), semi-finals (Saturday afternoon), and the championship game (Sunday) for those that advance. Team Pennsylvania-2003 went on to compete in the Ronald McDonald Tournament in Toronto, and a training camp weekend in Philadelphia prior to traveling to Edmonton for the Brick Invitational Tournament. The combine consisted of small area games, Team practices, skill practices, positional practices, team building and games. In a short period of time, these players have created a special bond to form lasting relationships, this is what makes The Brick Tournament so special. The Chicago Jr. Blackhawks were chosen after a five month selection process. Players were invited to attend the tryout at the United Center, after participating in an evaluation camp in December. From the UC, players were placed on two teams to compete in the Chi Town Shuffle, from which the final team was selected. We then journeyed North to Edmonton AB where we held the top 56 Combine Camp March 29th to March 31st 2019 at West Edmonton Mall. Our team would like to thank eveyone involved for putting on The Brick Tournament especially Craig Styles, Andy Wigston, Craig Reed and Bill Comrie. The 2017 team is mainly composed of players from Southeastern Michigan and coached by a nonparent staff. This years team is represented by 12 players from Manitoba, and 2 imports from the USA, and 1 import from Ontario. He was drafted 5th overall by the Los Angeles Kings in the 1st round of the 2019 entry draft. We have and will continue to make every effort in representing our province to the best of our abilities. We can also take three import players. The only two Catholic League programs to win a Class 4A sectional since the arrival of the four-class system have been Loyola in 2014 and Mount Carmel in 2008. Since then, The Pro Hockey Brick team has practiced every weekend, and have continued to evolve as a team.
